Alternate for SAP Web Dispatcher in S4 HANA?

As per the S4 HANA Documentation and below link;

"For fact sheets and analytical apps, we recommend that you use SAP Web Dispatcher as reverse proxy server. Other options are possible but will not be described in the documentation."

What is the exact purpose of web dispatcher in this Scenario?

Please suggest alternatives for Web Dispatcher.
