I'm working on a SAP HANA instance and I'm using the PAL-Library, which is part of the Aplication File Library (AFL).
I'm facing really big performance issues while I'm working on Decisiontrees (C4.5 or Chaid Tree).
Even with small datasets (for example 20 attributes and 40.000 rows) it takes several minutes to create the tree, whereas in R-Language the process for the same Data takes just 2 or 3 seconds.
Our HANA Instance is running perfectly, we tried a lot of different data with different parameters and so on, but the perfomance is bad and it isn't comparable to the perfomance in R.
Is there anybody else, facing those problems? Or can anybody help out?
