What is the correct way to do calculations in a view so that they compute correctly in hierarchies

Hi, I don't know if I have this in the right section / subject or not.  We are using Design Studio 1.5 with HANA v97 for our data source.  We create calculated/analytic views and use these as datasources in our Design Studio dashboard applications.

Using HANA is brand new for us, previously we used universes with Oracle for data.

If I'm creating a view that has a hierarchy, and want to do calculations, (such as a rate or percentage) what/how is the correct way to do this so that when the hierarchy is activated in Design Studio datasource the rate/percentage will calculate correctly based on the level of the hierarchy?

I've tried creating calculated views and doing the calc right at the last level and setting the new object to a formula.  I've also done it at the lowest level

of the view.  Either way, my objects don't present the correct data.

Any help is greatly appreciated.
