Hi all,
We are planing to implement the CO-PA Accelerator on HANA and one of the first steps is to run a Proof of Concept.
Our IT supplier can only offer to build the HANA box in a different datacenter than our current traditional ERP and both DCs are far away each other.
I'm wondering if the network latency due to the distance can impact a lot in the result of the PoC. This scenario can be compared to have the SAP ERP in-house and the HANA appliance in the SAP Cloud.
As per my understanding the traditional SAP application server will read the data directly from the HANA box so if build up an additional traditional SAP Apps. erver in the same DC than the HANA box we could avoid this problem for read operations,
The data synchronization between the traditional SAP and HANA is doing throwgh the SLT piece and it's offline so the latency here should not be a problem.
Could you please give me your feedback about this scenario.
Kind Regards
